🎮 Adaptive Behavior Educational System
A gamified learning platform built for elementary students at Atel-Batang Elementary School. Students learn Literacy and Numeracy through missions, earn stars and rewards, and progress through adaptive difficulty tiers — all monitored in near real time by their teachers.
The admin manages who can access the system. Before a student or teacher can register, the admin must first add them to the enrollment list. The admin also controls user accounts — enabling, disabling, or resetting passwords as needed.
Teachers must be enrolled by the admin first, then register using their assigned Teacher ID. Once logged in, they can create missions, manage flashcards and stories, monitor every student's progress, override tiers, reset student passwords, and manage the Star Shop.
Students are enrolled and registered by their teacher using their LRN (Learner Reference Number). Once logged in, they complete missions, earn stars and XP, level up, unlock achievements, read stories, and redeem rewards from the Star Shop.
The school admin logs into the Admin Dashboard and adds students and teachers to the enrollment list with their ID numbers, names, grade levels (Grade 1–6), and school year.
Teachers register students directly from their dashboard using the student's LRN (Learner Reference Number), full name, grade level, and a password. Students do not need to self-register.
Students log in using their LRN and password given by their teacher. They start at the Support tier and are assigned missions in Literacy and Numeracy based on their current level.
Students answer multiple-choice questions in missions. Each mission has optional hints (only shown when the teacher added one — each hint costs 1 ⭐) and explanations shown after answering. Scoring at or above the pass threshold promotes the student to the next tier.
Every completed mission rewards stars ⭐ and XP points ⚡. Stars can be redeemed in the Star Shop. Enough XP levels up the student's hero and unlocks achievements 🏆.
Teachers see every student's tier, score, mission history, and achievements in real time. They can override tiers, send notifications, and generate progress reports anytime.
BatangBibo uses a Rule-Based Algorithm as its core adaptive engine. After every completed mission, the algorithm automatically evaluates each student's consecutive scores against predefined performance thresholds and moves them up or down between tiers — no manual adjustment needed (though teachers can override at any time).
The starting tier for all new students. Missions are simpler with more hints and visual aids to build foundational skills.
Intermediate level with moderate difficulty. Students apply their foundational knowledge to slightly more complex problems.
The highest tier. Missions are challenging and test deeper understanding of Literacy and Numeracy concepts.
Literacy and Numeracy missions automatically adjust to each student's tier. The system promotes or drops students based on consecutive performance — no teacher input required.
Teachers create reading stories with comprehension questions and flashcard sets using three teaching approaches: Claveria, Murongko, or General. Students study flashcards and answer story quizzes to reinforce their learning.
Students redeem their earned stars for real school rewards managed by the teacher. Teachers approve or reject redemption requests directly from their dashboard.
Full analytics per student — tier, mission scores, subject performance, achievements, and last login. Register students by LRN, bulk-manage missions via CSV import, send notifications, filter by grade or tier, and generate PDF progress reports instantly.
The admin controls who can register. Students and teachers must be added to the enrollment list first. Admins can also enable/disable accounts and reset passwords for any user.
Students who complete all missions in the highest tier graduate and earn a printable Certificate of Mastery — separate certificates for Literacy and Numeracy. Graduates appear on the public Hall of Fame wall.
BatangBibo is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Students can install it on their phone or tablet and access it like a native app — even with limited connectivity.
